Harmful Algal Blooms and Ocean Acidification Workshop: Defining a Research Agenda
This report describes the results of a NOAA and NCCOS workshop from August 11-13, 2020, focused on interactions between stressors such as HABs and Ocean Acidification.
Proceedings of the Workshop on the Socio-economic Effects of Harmful Algal Blooms in the United States
The NCCOS Competitive Research Program (CRP) and the U.S. National Office for Harmful Algal Blooms released this report in March 2021. The report documents the proceedings of a 2020 workshop and presents recommendations to advance an assessment framework and a national research agenda that will lead to comprehensive evaluations of the social and economic effects of HABs in the fresh (primarily the Great Lakes) and marine waters of the United States.
This effort was led by the IOOS Association with input from NOAA, NGOs, and academic institutions.
Framework for the National Harmful Algal Bloom Observing Network: A Workshop Report (2020)
This framework is a production of a workshop hosted by the National Centers for Coastal Ocean Science (NCCOS) and U.S. Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS), with representatives from five Line Offices of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
